Original Old West Single-Action Look, Size and Feel. Since its introduction in 1993, the Ruger Vaquero® has dominated the cowboy action shooting world and earned its reputation for rugged reliability due to its strength and mechanical superiority. It is often referred to as "the gun that won the New West" because of its widespread popularity among single-action shooters and cowboy action competitors. The Ruger Vaquero combines the original Old West single-action look and feel with new features. The mid-size steel frame and cylinder are scaled-down to the same size as the original 1955 Ruger Blackhawk®, closely resembling the classic single-action revolvers of the late 1800's.

The Ruger Mark IV Target is a simple, blowback-operated pistol based on the original Ruger Standard introduced in 1949. Unlike its' predecessor, however, the Mark IV Target features one-button takedown for quick and easy field-stripping and proper chamber to muzzle cleaning. A recessed button in the back of the frame allows the upper receiver to tilt up and off of the grip frame without the use of tools. It features a one-piece, precision CNC-machined grip frame, ergonomic bolt stop, and a contoured ejection port. The sighting system features an adjustable rear sight and a receiver drilled and tapped for Weaver- or Picatinny-style rail (rail not included). The ambidextrous manual safety positively locks the sear in the "SAFE" position when applied, and the safety can be converted to left-side only with included washer. This model includes two 10-round magazines. Trigger features a short takeup with positive reset.  Recoil-reducing barrel cam, low mass slide, low center of gravity and low bore axis.  Performance tested for sustained P ammunition use.  Genuine Novak® LoMount Carry three-dot sights.  Modular wrap-around grip system for adjusting palm swell and trigger reach.  Safe, easy takedown with no tools or trigger pull required.  Ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release allow actuation with either hand.  Safety features include internal, automatic sear block system, integrated trigger safety and no trigger pull required for takedown.  Also includes - Two nickel-teflon® plated steel magazines; medium and large grip modules; hard plastic case.
