Chambered in 9mm Luger, the new G2C pistols are built on a rugged polymer frame that includes aggressive stippling, ergonomically placed along the grip to ensure firearm retention and to maintain positive hand alignment for optimal accuracy. The compact profile (1.25" wide x 6.25" long x 5.0" tall) combined with the 12 round - (9mm Luger) capacity magazines' contoured grip extension delivers a solid, comfortable hold for small- or large-hand shooters. Operation of the G2C is straightforward, thanks to a striker-fire, double-action trigger system that includes restrike capability. A manual, external safety is located conveniently above the thumb for quick manipulation in stressful conditions. The reversible magazine release is also ergonomically positioned for rapid, one-hand mag drops during tactical mag changes. Integrated into the G2C frame is a Mil-STD 1913 Picatinny rail to accept an accessory light or a laser. The 9mm Luger G2C models are offered with either a matte black carbon steel slide or with a matte stainless-steel slide. SCCY's CPX-2 is designed for concealed carry but large enough to get a good firm grip. It is considered to be one of the best priced, precision made "Pocket Pistols" on the market. Chambered for 9mm, it has a 3.1" barrel with a 16:1" right hand twist. The receiver is made from 7075 T6 aircraft grade heat treated aluminum alloy. The Zytel polymer frame features ergonomic finger grooves and an integral recoil cushion on the backstrap.
