The Ruger Mark IV Target is a simple, blowback-operated pistol based on the original Ruger Standard introduced in 1949. Unlike its' predecessor, however, the Mark IV Target features one-button takedown for quick and easy field-stripping and proper chamber to muzzle cleaning. A recessed button in the back of the frame allows the upper receiver to tilt up and off of the grip frame without the use of tools. It features a one-piece, precision CNC-machined grip frame, ergonomic bolt stop, and a contoured ejection port. The sighting system features an adjustable rear sight and a receiver drilled and tapped for Weaver- or Picatinny-style rail (rail not included). The ambidextrous manual safety positively locks the sear in the "SAFE" position when applied, and the safety can be converted to left-side only with included washer. This model includes two 10-round magazines. The Mark IV is a single action and utilizes an ambidextrous manual safety, push-button magazine release located on the left side, and an ergonomic bolt stop. Included is a washer and two magazines. This 22/45 Lite model features an aerospace-grade aluminum, ventilated receiver with a black anodized finish. It also has a threaded 4.4" barrel, black polymer grip frame, checkered 1911-style grip, and a fixed front sight with an adjustable rear.
