The Ruger American Ranch rifle is a compact, easy handling and highly accurate bolt action rifle. The rifle is sized perfectly for carry and easy access in a pickup truck or other farm vehicle. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it is also capable of firing .223 Remington and is an excellent choice for predator and varmint control. It features a threaded 16.12″ cold hammer forged barrel with factory installed thread protector, ready for your suppressor or other muzzle device of choice. The magazine drops free on release for faster reloads and a redesigned magazine disconnect safety prevents discharge when the magazine has been removed. Internal improvements include changes to the hammer, sear, bolt and firing pin for smoother, more reliable feeding.
