Its compact, threaded barrel with factory-installed thread protector is cold hammer-forged, resulting in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. The American Ranch also utilizes a Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, ergonomic, lightweight synthetic stock with modern forend contouring and grip serrations, factory-installed, one-piece Picatinny scope base, one magazine and sling swivel studs.

The Ruger Mark IV Target is a simple, blowback-operated pistol based on the original Ruger Standard introduced in 1949. Unlike its' predecessor, however, the Mark IV Target features one-button takedown for quick and easy field-stripping and proper chamber to muzzle cleaning. A recessed button in the back of the frame allows the upper receiver to tilt up and off of the grip frame without the use of tools. It features a one-piece, precision CNC-machined grip frame, ergonomic bolt stop, and a contoured ejection port. The sighting system features an adjustable rear sight and a receiver drilled and tapped for Weaver- or Picatinny-style rail (rail not included).
