The FX-9 pistol has a familiar set of operating controls for the avid AR-15 user, it accepts AR-15 stocks / braces and buffer tube assemblies,as well as most free float AR-15 rail assemblies. The Ruger PC Carbine is a take-down rifle chambered in 9mm. It comes standard with innovative features such as a custom "dead blow" tungsten weight which shortens bolt travel and simultaneously reduces both felt recoil and muzzle rise. It also has interchangeable magazine wells, one which accepts Ruger SR-Series and the new Ruger Security 9 mags, and another which accepts Glock mags. The bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back, verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the sub-assemblies and pulling them apart. The Ruger AR556, like its more expensive cousin the SR556, is packed with features that fans of the Modern Sporting Rifle demand.
