AR556 is direct impingement gas-operated with a 16-inch 1:8
hammer-forged barrel threaded 1/2×28. Also featured is a
windage-adjustable rear flip-up sight, a six-position telescoping
M4-style buttstock with a Mil-Spec buffer tube, M4 feed ramps, a
matte Type III hard coat oxide finish, enlarged trigger guard, a
chrome-plated bolt carrier, and an A2-style front post sight with
elevation adjustment, a bayonet lug and a Q/D attachment socket. This
rifle also comes with one 30-round Magpul PMAG.

The SR40c® is the compact version of the recoil reducing, striker-fired SR40® pistol, one of the slimmest and most ergonomic full-sized .40 caliber pistols on the market today. The SR40c is based on the same high-performance glass-filled nylon frame as those used on the popular SR9®, SR9c® and SR40® pistols, offering the same, great ergonomic features, including a slim frame, short trigger reach, reversible backstrap, and ambidextrous controls. The Ruger AR-556 Pistol features a lower receiver that is fitted with an adjustable pistol stabilizing brace to aid in accuracy, balance and recoil management, the slim 9" handguard is free-floating for accuracy and provides enhanced ergonomics and support. Magpul M-LOK accessory attachment slots along the 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 positions. Made from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum forging, the flattop upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover and brass deflector. The bolt is machined from 9310 alloy steel and is shot peened and pressure (proof) tested to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability. The twist rate stabilizes bullets from 35 to 77 grains and the 5.56 NATO chamber allows the use of both 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. ammunition. M4 feed ramps provide improved reliability and the matte black oxide finish reduces glare and provides corrosion resistance. A matte black oxide finish on the exterior of the bolt carrier provides corrosion resistance.
