The P320-M17 is a 9mm, striker-fired pistol and comes with two 17-round magazines. The pistol features a coyote-tan PVD coated stainless steel slide with the same optic cut as specified by the MHS contract, and black controls just like the pistols currently being shipped to the U.S. Army; it comes equipped with a SIGLITE front night sight and removable Night Sight rear plate.

The Ruger Mark IV Rimfire Pistols have the classic look of the Mark III with a simple, one-button takedown for quick and easy field stripping. A recessed button in the back of the frame allows the upper receiver to tilt up and off of the grip frame without the use of tools. The bolt simply slides out of the receiver and the barrel can be properly cleaned from chamber to muzzle. The MKIV includes other significant improvements such as a one-piece grip frame that is precision CNC-machined from a solid piece of aluminum alloy; an ambidextrous manual safety and a redesigned bolt stop for more ergonomic operation. The magazine drops free on release for faster reloads and a redesigned magazine disconnect safety prevents discharge when the magazine has been removed. Internal improvements include changes to the hammer, sear, bolt and firing pin for smoother, more reliable feeding. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the new G2C pistols are built on a rugged polymer frame that includes aggressive stippling, ergonomically placed along the grip to ensure firearm retention and to maintain positive hand alignment for optimal accuracy. The compact profile (1.25" wide x 6.25" long x 5.0" tall) combined with the 12 round - (9mm Luger) capacity magazines' contoured grip extension delivers a solid, comfortable hold for small- or large-hand shooters. Operation of the G2C is straightforward, thanks to a striker-fire, double-action trigger system that includes restrike capability. A manual, external safety is located conveniently above the thumb for quick manipulation in stressful conditions. The reversible magazine release is also ergonomically positioned for rapid, one-hand mag drops during tactical mag changes. Integrated into the G2C frame is a Mil-STD 1913 Picatinny rail to accept an accessory light or a laser. The 9mm Luger G2C models are offered with either a matte black carbon steel slide or with a matte stainless-steel slide. The slide contours blend with the frame to promote a smooth, snag-free draw and re-holster. Precision-cut slide serrations provide a no-slip grip when charging the pistol. Topping the slide is a fixed white dot front sight and a dual white dot rear sight with elevation and windage adjustment.
